Full Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1

Jump in the car and leave the city life in Denver for our beautiful little mountain town of Buena Vista. Take I-70 and plan to stop in picturesque Frisco, CO for a yummy brunch at Bread + Salt. The Huevos Rancheros are to die for!

After that gorgeous mountain drive, you’ll arrive in Buena Vista, ready for a latte at The Roastery and a walk around Main Street. Enjoy shops like The Village where you’ll find fair-trade goodies from around the globe and Rock Paper Scissors for vintage gifts and succulents galore.

Once you’re settling into your lodging for the weekend, head to the Deerhammer Distillery for a tasting and tour at one of Colorado’s premier boutique whiskey distilleries. Have the bartender make you a Green Grind – even if you aren’t a whiskey fan – you’ll love it! After your tasting, walk a couple blocks south to House Rock Kitchen for one of their delicious, globally-inspired house bowls…Southwestern, Moroccan, or Greek – all amazing!

Day 2

Day 2

Rise and shine! Up and at ’em early today for a homemade breakfast burrito and a latte at The Roastery before meeting at the AAE Rafting Outpost @ 8:15 a.m. for your Browns Canyon Raft + Hot Springs trip.

You’ll have a blast tackling a ton of Class II and III rapids in Colorado’s ONLY raftable National Monument, Browns Canyon. The scenery is incredible – you’ll have the perfect view of your afternoon destination, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. After all that paddling and playing in the river, enjoy a gourmet burger lunch (vegan, gf accommodated!) prepared by your guides in our Riverside Beer Garden. Then, it’s time to relaaaaxxx.

Prepare for a little slice of heaven as you unwind at the base of the Chalk Cliffs enjoying a variety of soaking pools at various heavenly temperatures. Creekside soaking is available seasonally and massages are also a VERY good idea all year round. If you’re too tired to make the 15 minute drive back into town, dine at the resort’s Molly Murphy Steakhouse for some Colorado fare (fresh salads, house made pasta, steaks and more).

Day 3

Day 3

There’s no better way to start a morning than with a Vin Yin yoga class at Buena Vista’s own JalaBlu Yoga Studio. You’ll find a variety of classes here and will love their laid-back mountain vibe…the classes are all donation-based, and guests can use a mat for free.

You’ll have certainly worked up an appetite after your class, so don’t even bother changing out of your yoga gear before you head to Wesley & Rose at the Surf Hotel for brunch. Even though it’s Colorado so everyone is casual, this upscale hotel and restaurant is a true gem of our little mountain town. The beignets are absolutely divine and you’ll love their avocado, tomato, and feta scramble with house made english muffins!

After that insanely delicious brunch and a little walk along the river, it’s most likely time to head back to the realities of the big city. We hope you can come back again to try more Colorado adventures with us in our special mountain town!
