Day 1

Depart from Denver late-morning to avoid traffic summer mountain traffic! Enjoy Highway 285’s sweeping views over Kenosha Pass on your scenic drive to Buena Vista, CO.
Upon arrival in Buena Vista, head straight to the Eddyline Brew Pub to sample a Crank Yanker IPA and a wood-fired Numbers Pizza with 3 meats and Colorado’s signature green chilis. Yum! After lunch, head to your camping spot (too coveted to publish – please contact us!) or your lodging for the weekend.
After pitching those tents and getting settled, tonight it’s dinner at (we are NOT joking here) the BEST food truck you will ever eat at, The Buena Viking. Located on Main Street nestled between Colorado Kayak Supply and the Deerhammer Distillery (take it easy on the whiskey ‘tasting’, you have a big day tomorrow!), you’ll no doubt enjoy this lively patio with insanely delicious burgers and tots!

Hopefully the guys stayed in line last night (wink) and you can get up early enough to snag a freshly made breakfast burrito and a hot cup of joe at The Roastery. Meet at the AAE Rafting Outpost @ 8:15 a.m. for your Numbers Deluxe Tour.
Starting in the country’s ONLY raftable National Monument, Browns Canyon, you’ll enjoy tons of Class II and III whitewater which will be the perfect warm-up for your high-adventure afternoon. After your morning rafting trip, you’ll be treated to a gourmet burger lunch in our Riverside Beer Garden (beers AFTER the trip, of course). The highlight of your guys’ weekend is up after lunch – crushing rapids in one of the most exciting and technical whitewater runs in the state – The Numbers!
After all that whitewater, you’ll definitely be ready for a beer! Back to Main Street you go for a cold Colorado brew from The Jailhouse. Once that hunger sets in, walk a couple blocks up to The Lariat for some elevated bar food (buffalo sliders, yes please!) and entertaining live music until well past midnight.

Start your day right with a Classic Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich on an artisan bagel from The Blend. After fueling up it’s time for one last mountain adventure. Head to Ark Anglers to check in for your fly fishing adventure!
World-class fishing awaits you and your group. Novice and experienced anglers alike come from all over the country to experience the incredible access and variety of fish that can be found on The Arkansas River. Float down mellow sections of the ‘Ark’ either learning or honing your fly fishing skills.
For sure you’re ready for one last bite in Buena Vista before you head back home to reality. Grab a sandwich at Sorelle’s Delicatessen. The house made Porchetta is to die for and will certainly give you the energy to get back to the city!
