The Numbers Rafting

If heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping Colorado rafting is what you’re looking for, The Numbers rafting trip is for you! This is where it all begins, the headwaters of the Arkansas River.  This is one of the most difficult sections of commercially rafted river in Colorado, and although you’ll wind your way through an awe-inspiring high alpine setting, you’ll probably be too busy paddling to even notice!

Gourmet BBQ lunch included!

As an AAE exclusive, you’ll start your adventure paddling through the majestic Browns Canyon National Monument, followed up by a delicious riverside BBQ lunch.  Once you’ve refueled, it’s back to the raft and time for the white-knuckle roller coaster that is The Numbers!

INSIDER’S TIP: Work Your Way Up

If this trip sparks your interest, but you’d like a little bit of a warm-up, try our Numbers Full Day Adventure. The Numbers Full day trip is an AAE exclusive and allows you to test the waters by starting the day with a rafting run through our intermediate Class III section, Brown’s Canyon first. Then catch your breath as you enjoy a gourmet riverside lunch at our family-friendly beer garden, and finish up the day by taking on the challenging whitewater rapids of The Numbers.

What To Wear & Bring

The key to enjoying a Numbers white water rafting adventure to the fullest is being properly prepared and dressed.  Here’s a list of things that we recommend to wear and bring:

  • Swimsuit
  • Quick-Drying Clothes (no cotton, no denim)
  • Sun Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Dry Clothes & Towel for after your trip
  • Water Shoes (No Flip Flops, Crocs or Bare-feet!)
  • Money for items such as:

Although most summer days include plenty of sunshine, you have to remember that this water is coming straight off the Rocky Mountains and can sometimes be a bit chilly.  No need to worry as we have all of the gear that you could possibly want or need to make sure that you’re as comfortable as possible.
