Buena Vista Outpost
Our Johnson Village rafting outpost, the meeting point for our Brown’s Canyon rafting and Numbers rafting trips, is located two miles south of Buena Vista, Colorado and is situated at the base of the Collegiate Peaks, a group of truly majestic 14,000 foot mountains that make up the continental divide. With breathtaking vistas like this to the west and a bird’s eye view of the mighty Arkansas River to the east you will undoubtedly agree with our county’s motto: “Now this is Colorado”. This first-class facility also happens to be home to our famous ‘Riverside Beer Garden and Grill’. This family-friendly setting is the perfect place for taking in the amazing scenery and sharing tales of the day’s adventures. So be sure to stick around for a post-trip snack and a refreshing beverage, as the music is always on and the drinks are always cold.
Royal Gorge Outpost
Our Royal Gorge outpost, which is located just ten miles west of Cañon City and is the meeting point for our Bighorn Sheep Canyon rafting and Royal Gorge rafting trips, is the only outpost located on the water in the lower Arkansas River Valley and is the finest rafting facility that the Royal Gorge Country has to offer. As the only outfitter located on the water, we are able to show you the whitewater of this area like no one else. Nestled right at the mouth of the world famous Royal Gorge this seven and half acre complex has it all, including hot showers, changing facilities, two outdoor picnic pavilions, and a first-class retail store. This location also happened to be featured on a recent episode of Trading Spaces, a popular program on The Learning Channel, as our check-in office and guide bunk house each got Hollywood makeovers.
